Hospital outpatient facility accessible parking

At least 10 percent, but not less than one, of care recipient and visitor parking spaces serving hospital outpatient facilities shall be accessible.

Rehabilitation/outpatient physical therapy accessible parking

At least 20 percent, but not less than one, of care recipient and visitor parking spaces serving rehabilitation facilities specializing in mobility-affecting conditions and outpatient physical therapy facilities shall be accessible.

Group R-2/R-3/R-4 accessible parking percentage

In Group R-2, R-3 and R-4 occupancies required to have Accessible, Type A or Type B dwelling/sleeping units, at least 2 percent, but not less than one, of each type of parking space provided shall be accessible.

Multiple parking facilities calculated separately

Where more than one parking facility is provided on a site, the number of parking spaces required to be accessible shall be calculated separately for each parking facility.

Temporary handicapped parking permit validity

A municipality may issue a temporary special vehicle identification parking permit to a person temporarily unable to ambulate without an assisting device (as certified by a physician / healthcare practitioner); such permit shall be valid for not more than six months and shall be recognized statewide.
